Editing marketStream Pricing

After you add a product from the Common Catalog to your catalog you can sell the product on your site. You can change the price for the product (as long as the price falls within the price parameters set by the Product Seller when it was added to the marketStream Common Catalog).

To edit pricing for a marketStream product:

Required Role: Catalog ManagerA user role that allows the user access to the catalog and product features. Search this file for the "user role definitions" topic for more information.
  1. On the Catalog menu, select marketStream Channel, and click Manage Products.
  2. Click on the Name of the product you want to edit pricing for. The Edit marketStream Product page appears.

Tip: Make sure the product you select has already been added to your catalog. The In Catalog column shows Yes for products that are available for sale on your site and in your catalog.

  1. Click Edit Pricing in the taskbar. The Set Pricing page appears.
  1. In the Set Price field, enter the price for the product and click Save. Keep in mind that you cannot set a price lower than the Fixed Cost or higher than the MSRP. These amounts appear above the pricing fields area for your reference.
    • Fixed Cost is what you pay to the Product Owner for each product sold.
    • MSRP is the maximum amount you can charge for the product. MSRP is set by the Product Owner.

The marketStream Channel program has a feature where a product owner can allow a product seller to sell their product outside of the MASER range (MSRP range is defined as any price between MSRP and Fixed Cost). The product can be sold for $0, but sellers must still pay the product owner the fixed cost. Therefore, promotional agreements between the product owner and product seller will need to be negotiated, or the seller will have to use products with an appropriate fixed cost.
