Deploying Products

Deploying a product means pushing the product to your store so that it can be seen and purchased by shoppers. If the product has errors you will not be able to deploy it. You can deploy a product with warnings but it is not recommended.

Note: If a product uses the product lifecycle setting, the product can still be deployed but that product will not be seen on your store until the start date for the product is reached. See About the Product Lifecycle Setting for more information.

Deploying Products from the Deploy Products Page

Required Role: Catalog ManagerA user role that allows the user access to the catalog and product features. Search this file for the "user role definitions" topic for more information.
  1. On the Catalog menu, select Products, and click Deploy Products. The Deploy Products page appears.
  2. From the Catalog and Locale lists, select the catalog and locale with the product(s) you want to deploy.
  3. On the Undeployed Changes tab, select the product(s) you want to deploy.


  4. Click Deploy. A message appears informing you that errors will not be deployed with the product. Read the message and click OK to continue the deployment.

Deploying Products from the Product Page

  1. On the Catalog menu, select Products, and click Manage Products. The Products page appears.
  2. Click on the name of the product you want to deploy.

  3. Click the Deploy button in the task bar. A message appears informing you that errors will not be deployed with the product. Read the message and click OK to continue the deployment.
