After a product has been created you can edit the product setup as needed. Every time you make changes to a product, a new version of the product is created. When you deploy a product, it is the last version that is deployed.
When you make a change to a product that has already been deployed, a new version will be created that will have the "design" status. You will have to deploy the design version for the changes to be seen on your site. Until you deploy a design version, the last deployed version will remain on your site.

Products are edited using the Product Editor. To edit a product, first locate the product you want to edit on the Products list page (on the Catalog menu, select Products, and click Manage Products). When you find the product you want to edit, click on the product name in the list to open the Product Editor and make changes.
