About SocialStream

SocialStream is used to communicate marketing offers and promotions over social media networks such as Facebook and Twitter, while capturing accurate reports of the resulting sales.

Using SocialStream with Twitter

You can use SocialStream to post marketing offers and promotions on your Twitter account. Twitter is a social networking service that people use to post and read messages called "tweets." Tweets are limited to 140 characters and can be seen by anyone "following" you on Twitter, or by anyone viewing your Twitter account (as long as you have not restricted your account to only be seen by your followers).

For more about Twitter and how it works, see the Twitter Help Center.

Using SocialStream with Facebook

You can use SocialStream to post marketing offers and promotions on your Facebook page. SocialStream can only add posts to Facebook pages, not personal profiles.

What is a Facebook Page?

A Facebook page is how businesses, brands, organizations, public figures, and so on communicate with other users on Facebook. Facebook pages can be seen by anyone on Facebook. This differs from personal profiles in that profiles usually require you to be "friends" with that person to view their profile.

How Do I Create a Facebook Page?

The process to create a Facebook page changes as Facebook releases new features and enhancements. Unfortunately, we cannot include specific instructions on how to create a page here because the procedure changes frequently.

If you want to learn how to create a page in Facebook, visit the Facebook Help Center and search for information on how to create a Facebook page (also called "fan pages," "pages for businesses," or "public profiles").

About the SocialStream Legal Agreement

Before you can use SocialStream, you must accept the Digital River SocialStream Agreement.
