About the Subscription Landing Page
The subscription landing page is used to provide your shoppers with a one-stop location to view and manage their subscriptions.
Note: The landing page can be used by anyone who has subscription products to provide their shoppers a way to manage or view their subscription. However, if your store uses single sign-on (SSO), some additional integration work will be required to configure the landing page so accommodate your SSO integration.
Using the landing page you can provide your shoppers an easy way to do the following:
- Manually renew a subscription
- Upgrade their subscription product
- Increase or decrease the quantity on a subscription
- Update the billing information
- Update the shipping address
- Stop auto-renewal for a subscription
- Cancel a subscription
How Shoppers Access the Landing Page
Shoppers get to the landing page through a link in an email generated and sent by Global Commerce. The link the shopper uses to get to the landing page will be configured to take the shopper to a specific page for a specific task (for example, to update their billing information).
- If you want the subscription notifications/emails sent by Global Commerce to include links to the subscription landing page, contact your CMM. The default text of your subscription emails will need to be updated and some Site Design work may be required.
- If you want to use links to the landing page in your own emails, you need to create the link to the landing page yourself using the information in Creating Links to the Landing Page.
When a shopper clicks a link to the landing page, the shopper has to enter some information depending on how your store is set up. Once the shopper enters the information, the shopper is redirected to the page where the shopper can perform the task for which the link was created.
- If your store uses anonymous shopping: Once a shopper gets to the landing page, they have to enter their order number and password (passwords are created during checkout).
- If your store requires shoppers to create an account: Once a shopper gets to the landing page, they have to email address and password.
- If your store uses single sign on (SSO): Once a shopper gets to the landing page, shoppers have to enter whatever login credentials your system requires. Basically, shoppers do not have to log in twice when they click a landing page link.
