About Content Layouts
Content layouts are used to customize the content and design for pages for your store, including checkout and product or category detail pages. When you create or edit a content layout you can define what elements you want that page to have. To learn how to create and edit a content layout, see Creating and Editing Content Layouts.
Note: Content layouts is only available if your store is using the Self Service (Rivulet) template. To find out what template your store uses, contact your Store Operations team.
Content Layouts and Splash Markup Language
When you create or edit a content layout you use the Splash Markup Language to define what you want the page to have and how you want the page to look. Before you create or edit a content layout, you should be familiar with the Splash Markup Language that is used to construct the content layout pages. See the About Splash for more information about Splash.
Content Layouts You Can Create
There are several different pages you can customize by creating a content layout for that page and then using a theme to apply that content layout to your store. This includes the checkout pages used for one of the three types of checkout flows your store can support, and some other pages that provide product or marketing offer information.
Checkout Pages You Can Customize
Checkout Pages are those pages seen by the shopper when they are completing a purchase and working their way through the checkout process. Each checkout flow uses different pages, depending on the flow.
Note: Before you edit the pages in a checkout flow we recommend you verify that the checkout flow is enabled for your store and can be used on your store. To learn more about what checkout flow is used on your store, contact your Store Operations team.
Depending on your store, you may use the QuickBuy checkout, the Three Page checkout, or the Two Page checkout.
- QuickBuy Checkout Flow pages:
- Quick Buy Confirm Order Page – Layout for the Order Confirmation page. This is the page shoppers see after they enter their billing and shipping information in the shopping cart, and where they review their order before submitting it.
- Quick Buy Shopping Cart Page – Layout for the main Shopping Cart page. This is the page shoppers see when they add products to the cart and are viewing the products they intend to purchase. This is also the page where shoppers enter billing and shipping information. (If shipping is not required by your site, this information does not appear.)
- Three Page Checkout Flow pages:
- Confirm Order Page – Layout for the Order Confirmation page. This is the page shoppers see after they enter their billing and shipping information, and where they review their order before submitting it.

- Two Page Checkout Flow pages:

Depending on the purchase, this page may include additional information such as details on how to download or obtain the product, or submit any additional billing or payment information if required.
